This is some of the best play dough we have ever used!
We made this play dough last week and some of it went to our launch week giveaway. (We made orange creamsicle play dough using KidPower oil and orange food coloring. Wow was that an amazing experience!
We also made a rainbow set of the play dough and of course it got all mixed together, haha, but it is holding up REALLY well. The trick is to store it in a plastic bag or jar with a paper towel to absorb the moisture. If you happen to get some moisture you should be able to work it back into the dough. But if you can use a paper towel to absorb it, that will be better! Also, storing this in the fridge preserves it best. It is food, after all!
Get creative with your sensory experience! We used coarse salt for extra texture but if you have tiny people you might want to skip that and use regular salt. Add your favorite oils (calming oils are GREAT for this), and make it fun colors! There are non-toxic food dyes available, and I’ve linked some below for you! I have a set we use for food, and then there’s another variety set we use for sensory bins and items we will not be eating but will still be touching.
Feel free to save this recipe and print it out for future use! 🙂

Here are some of the supplies we like for play dough!
(I earn a small commission from these links. Thank you for blessing me through your purchase!)
Let me know if you end up making the play dough and which combos you came up with! I can’t wait to see what you and your kiddos do together! 🙂
Blessings,
~Nikki
